Forget me, forget me not

Lauren, Ashlynn and I wanted to put on a play so I wrote one about two best friends. Ashley (Ashlynn) was moving to London and was really bumbed about it. Her best friend Lola (Lauren) was staying in Florida and dreading life without Ashley. The 2 friends share their life through letters.

Ashley stops writing to Lola and makes a new BFF, but when they meet up at camp they decide that no matter how far apart they will always be BFF (best friends forever). Then they decide that letters are too expensive and that maybe they should just get emails..... :)

Before Ashley leaves to London

Lola - missing Ashley

"Dear Ashley,
Stacie (Me) was so mean to me today......"

These British people are so weird....."

Night at the Beach

On the evening of the 31st of July we went to eat at Maxim's - a nice restaurant on the beach. Like last year us kids played tag on the sand. Lots of fun!

Port Grimaud

On sunny day (I can't remember which one - there were so many!) Mommy, Terri, Habe and I went into Port Grimaud - a small town surrounded by canals. It was made to look like Venice.  We visited the market, where there were handmade things, food and clothes. We didn't get anything except some food - the best of which was marinated garlic!

Comfy Chairs

Ashlynn & I enjoyed sitting on nice comfy chairs in the living room and reading or in my case writing.
Lauren had a book just for girls - but it was disguised as a Chemistry book!

Froggy

Lauren, Ashlynn and I were down by the pool when we found 2 frogs - tree frogs. We took them up to the house and made a climate house for them. Then Ashlynn and Lauren even went to catch crickets for them.

CUTE!!!

The old windmill

Max, Lauren, Ashlynn and I decided to walk up to the old abandoned windmill that was above Pironi. There were prickly bushes that we had to walk through and when we got back we jumped into the pool. Our clothes were covered with burs.

Bonjour France!

On July 29 we got on a plane to fly off to the South of France. We were going to stay in Terri's house. Terri works on the Going Dutch Magazine with Mommy. The house is called Pironi. Last year, when we visited Lauren, Terri, Max and Chris in the South of France they were staying in a different house and Pironi was being redone. We were really excited to see Pironi now that it was done.

Finals

On the finals we invited over lots of people to watch the finals in our outdoor theater. Daddy, Ashlynn and Mr. Lowe sat in the swimming pool while watching. I started off in the pool, but got a bit cold. The screen started off small, but as the night when on, it got bigger. Luckily it didn't start raining like it did the night before (during the game deciding who would be third and fourth), but unluckily.....
Holland lost.

Final Friday

Before Holland even got past the first round I told my friends that if the Dutch team got into the finals I would come to school with orange hair - and if they won, I would come again with orange hair.
When Holland really DID get into the finals, I kept to my promise and came to school on Friday with orange hair spray in my hair. Three of my friends came in with orange hair too. We put flags on people's faces - even if they were supporting Spain.
HUP HOLLAND HUP!!

HUP HOLLAND HUP

Us watching one of the games. When ever Holland scored we'd go outside and scream and blow horns.

Flying Flags! (Not in our garden)

Hats and game - both representing Holland!! Mommy bought Heineken just to get the hats.

Even though we're from America - we cheered for Holland the whole time. We put up flags in our front garden and made posters in our house. We made sure that we watched every one of their games!

More Ropes

More photos of the ropes course. After the ropes course we went back to the hostel then walked to the swimming pool. It was really cool. There were 1 slide that we went down in 6's. One after the other! Fun!
While we were there we watched the Holland vs Brazil football game.
HOLLAND WON! 2 - 1!!

High Ropes

On the last whole day we walked up to a high ropes course in the hills. We put on harnesses and took a quick lesson on how to use the buckles and caribiners on them. There were zip lines, planks to walk across, giant nets to swing into. It was really fun. The best things were the giant zip lines that went right across a ravine. Awesome. One boy got stuck in the middle and a lady had to go and push him to the other side.

None of these are me - but you can kindof get the just of it.

Ring Museum

We went into a really cool car museum. There were 3D movies and we almost had the whole place to ourselves. We got to sit in cars and get our own drivers license!
Lots of fun!!

Fancy Dancy Cars

After the Bunker we took a bus to a car race track called Nurburgring. We waited in a big atrium kind of building (The Ring Arena) with car stores lining the sides. It was a shame the Ferrari Store was closed. Even though we were right next to the race track, we never got to actually see it.Strange.
