Green Day Activities

If you're going to run a Green Day, you just have to have activities to go along with it....

Plant a Sunflower in a recycled plastic bottle

Organic Food tasting. Compare fair trade products to non fair trade products

Recycle!
Throw the correct objects into the correct bins to win sweets!

More birthday parties!?

After Frisbee I cycled with Ellie, Emilie, Ziyoda, and Lizzy to Amelia's house for her birthday party.

We started off the party  by jumping on Amelia's trampoline and playing with her bunny rabbit.

Then we went to the nearby park and had fun throwing the Frisbee while running around on the pirate ship playground.

After the park, we ate pizza, watched films, ate popcorn, talked, ate candy.......ect

Green Day

Because I'm in the Environmental committee of the school along with Ziyoda, we both knew about Green Day weeks before it actually happened. Green Day was a non school uniform day, to raise both awareness and money for the committee. I helped to advertise and organize the baking competition and bake sale that took place at snack.

Daddy's Late Birthday

Because Daddy had been in France paragliding, we hadn't had a chance to wish him a proper Happy Birthday. So the day of the International Event, Ashlynn and I made a chocolate cake and decorated it very beautifully.

We got home from the event and gave him his presents and his cake...

The CAKE!
(If you can't figure out what it is, it's an ocean with a scuba diver at the top - and if you didn't realise that, you  may be wondering what B-day stands for. Well, I'm not going to tell you. Go look it up in a dictionary!)

The Best by Far!

I know that I'm not really meant to say that our performance was the best, but I think it was.....as was ours last year as well.

I think everybody who participated had fun and so did we.

I hope that Lizzy and Katy will perform with us again next year.

Getting the Kids involved

During one of the verses, (which we didn't feel like coming up with a dance for) we went into the crowd and threw candy to the kids.

Point of interest : Kids love food

After another chorus Ashlynn and Katy stayed up on stage doing the Can-Can and other random dances, while Lizzy and I went down and tried to get some of the kids up on stage. It was a massive success and great fun!

With all the kids on stage. A few of the kids were told before hand  to come up like the Russian girls who had practiced with us during the dress rehearsal.

Y-M-C-A

You know the moves, you know the words, so stand up and join in!

For the American performance we did the YMCA. Because it was a last minute thing, (like the British one) we had Americans and British people in it. Lizzy, her sister Katy, Ashlynn and I.

We had started off wanting to do something from the film Grease, then Wicked the musical. In the end we had 1 week till the dress rehearsal and Ashlynn said, "Why don't we do the YMCA?"

So we got Mr. Lowe to teach Lizzy and I the dance moves after Frisbee one Friday. We had 2 chances to practice before the dress rehearsal.

The performance was a major hit........

Katy and Ashlynn - dressed up as what I think are DJ's

I was dressed up as an Indian from the original  song  the  Village  People.

Lizzy was a cowboy also from the Village People.

While at dinner at Lizzy's house, we came up with the entire dance and we made big cardboard signs that had the letters on for us to hold up.
