Fun in the Sun

The villa borders a golf course. We were on the 16th hole. Sometimes when it got dark we would hop the fence and play Frisbee with the light up disk.

The villa was well equipped with fun. There was a ping pong table, a pool table and a heated swimming pool. It was great. While we were still in Holland we decided to make a movie. David and Ashlynn were brother and sister and  I played Andrew's sister. David and Ashlynn came to our house in Spain and then when our iPods were stolen we went on an adventure to find them. It was really fun. Daddy and Mr. John (David and Andrew's dad) played the baddies. Sunday was spent playing in the garden and walking to the nearby beach. The water was too cold to swim in, but it was still fun. The weather on Sunday was the best of the whole trip. On Monday we never left the house, just stayed home, filmed and played.

Costa del Sol

We met David and Andrew's family at the airport, ready to board our plane to Malaga. David and Andrew have been good friends for a long time and this wasn't the first time we've been on holiday with them, but it was the first time we've been on a plane with them. We arrived at Malaga airport, picked up the rental cars and made our way to our villa (private house) in Marbella. We got lost a few times because the TomTom said there were roundabouts when there weren't and that there were open roads, when they had been closed for construction. We got to the villa at two in the morning. Oof!
My first view of Costa del Sol.

The heated swimming pool at our villa.

The name of our villa. All of the houses in that housing complex had names.

The front of the villa.

The lovely porch that we ate on each night.

Happy Easter

Today, I'm off to Spain! I'm catching a plane to the South of Spain, then we're getting a car and heading to our rented villa. It's going to be awesome! I'm not going to have internet, so I won't be posting anything till after we get back. The pictures are from yesterday when Ashlynn, Mommy, Daddy and I went to a nice little restaurant. There were some cute bunnies to pet. They're Easter Bunnies!

Happy Easter!

How to Train Your Dragon

Yesterday I went and saw How to Train Your Dragon in the movie theaters. I would highly recommend it. It is way different to the book. The picture is of Hiccup and his dragon, Toothless.

Stop Motion

Yesterday Ashlynn and I got kinda bored. I had nothing to do except read, practice piano, revise; all of which I had spent Sunday doing. We decided to do a stop motion. We started off not really having a plan, but by the end of the day we had come up with our own series. 'North Park' I came up with the name when we were planning it in the park near our house. Ashlynn is the main character - Claire and I am the photographer. We have made 4 episodes in under 2 days! It is a great thing to do when you are bored and have a camera.
Here are the episodes:
  1. Introducing Clumsy Claire
  2. Sprinkle Sandwich
  3. Let's Dance
  4. Park Time
We may post them to YouTube.

School's out!

Today was the last day of school before the 2 week Easter Holidays. I got out at 12:00. I had Geography which was quite fun. I had already finished the task so I got to help decorating my friend's poster. After that was French. The first period we spent in the library reading French magazines, and the second period was spent singing a song for prize giving! (In French of course!!) After break there was a Y7 & Y8 end of term assembly. At 12:00 I said goodbye to my friends, hopped on my bike and headed home!

The holidays have started!

Trip to Amsterdam II

Today I went to Amsterdam for a field trip. I was in a group with the other girls from my class. Our group leader was our funny Drama teacher, which was good.
Our first stop was the Tropen Museum. I have never been to the Tropen Museum before. It is a museum to do with different cultures. There was a funny thing in the music room where our group squeezed into a tight space and learned how to yodel! It was hilarious! Here is the link...
Next was the Anne Frank house. I have been to the Anne Frank house before, but it was still sad.
Last but not least was the Nemo Museum. Nemo is an awesome, hands on, Science museum. We watched the chain reaction, but it messed up at least 3 times!
I had a great day, much better than the last school trip to Amsterdam.
